AFTER4 are a four-piece rock band based in Cambridgeshire, England. Still with the combined age of one Rolling Stone, After4 are winning a reputation for professionalism, musicianship and stage presence.
AFTER4 consists of Joe Bonson (Lead Vocals and Rhythm guitar), Jack Bonson (Drums), Tony (Titch) Wilson (Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals) and Phil Haines (Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals). They first started playing together at primary school in the year 2000. Their first public live performance together was in May 03, to an audience of over 200 people, and they have played over 75 gigs and festivals since.
AFTER4 have made several appearances, and had airplay, on BBC and independent radio stations and BBC Look East TV, and been featured many times in the local press. In 2004 they won through to the finals of a National Talent Contest and were selected as one of Huntingdonshire’s top 6 young bands to play the 2004 Hunts Big Gig. In 2005 they won through to the Cambridge Young Bands Final, and won the Milton Keynes Youth Festival Band Competition from over 20 other bands.
AFTER4 are concentrating on their own original classic rock sound. In 2004 they recorded a two track demo at HYC studios in Huntingdon, a live DVD featuring eight of their songs at Lincoln University’s TV Studio. and their first sell-out EP 'Stereotype' at The Lodge Studios in Northampton, In Nov 2005 they recorded the first two tracks for their second CD at Linford Manor Studios in Milton Keynes with Phil English who has worked with The Coral and Feeder. The lads are sponsored by Marks Music and can be seen gigging regularly in and around Cambridge. They have also played in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex and Lincolnshire.
