Dazy Cutter

Hi, Paul here!

I’ve been jamming in many different bands for over ten years with countless musicians coming and going. I decided along with my brother John, who is the band’s frontman, to get Dazy Cutter off the ground.

When we found local bass player/songwriter Carl, who had moved down from Liverpool, we agreed to set about writing some original songs. We soon realised we had something special and a nucleus to create a solid unit.

Our next step was to find another guitarist and a drummer. Steve, an experienced guitarist from Cambridge, who had studied at London’s Guitar Institute, had written an advert in Ad-Trader looking for a pro-minded band. Soon, all that was needed to complete the lineup was a quality drummer. We eventually found that in Terry, a drummer who had also studied in London at the Musician’s Institute. Terry was at that time playing in a London based band, but we got him to come along for a jam and impressed him enough to join up.

After months of practising and songwriting we recorded the E.P. Shadows. the three tracks were Make a Change, If You’re Alone and Sunday Rain. We used the CD as a tool to get us gigs in the best venues we could find. These included London’s Infinity, Cherry Jam, Archway Tavern and most notably Liverpool’s Cavern Club and Cambridge’s big outdoor event Pop in the Park.

We have to date built up a good following that grows with every gig and have set high standards with our live performances.
