Dear Old Blighty

Some 'live' studio recordings, notched up over a Bank Holiday in May 2005. Recorded by Sam Burke at Sleeping Toad Studios, Manea, Cambridgeshire.

They were recorded when this line-up was barely a month old, so not the best reflection of the band in all their glory and not a patch on their live performances, but still a chance to hear the songs and get a taste of what Dear Old Blighty is all about. The band will be returning to the studio for more polished works in October/November. In the meantime, enjoy these... if you want a CD of these tracks let us know and we'll get that sorted for you.

DEAR OLD BLIGHTY have been discretely hiding in the corners of the Cambridge music scene for about a year under the name of Mojo Pin. Rarely scene in public, singer/songwriter Kerry Lambert and bassist Ian Clarkson perfected the material in a small Cambridge studio in privacy until the summer of 2005, drummer Paul Richards arrived to complete the line-up and now the band are ready for public consumption. Changing their name shortly after a couple of shows to Dear Old Blighty to suit the quirky, British, eccentric sound, the band are now working extremely hard to get the Blighty message across to as many people as possible, and with gigs including a slot at this years Edinburgh Fringe festival confirmed the future looks promising for the three piece.
