"The confirmation for 2006 is splendid news.
I think that the RBF is one of the best kept secrets in Britain today..those that have been recognise what a unique event this is and come back for more .. word of mouth encourages new folk to pop along .. an so it must grow.. eventually the secret must become secret no more...
John Lennon urged 'Power to the People' .. The RBF is a vibrant example that a festival organised by the people for the people with excellent music and even cooler vibes can still exist in this jaded world and is a testament to your vision..thank you for your good works"

"thanks for a really memorable weekend last week. just heard Cream doing white room and this brought back happy memories of Cream'd and Pete Brown's performances. And thanks for Deborah Bonham, what a voice and her cd is excellent. I thought at first oh yeah someone using her brothers name to make a name for herself, bet she aint too good (like ****** ****** for instance who is rubbish quite honestly) but as soon as she started I could see that I was mistaken. She is Britain's best female singer by a long chalk.
All performances were good, and the young bands like Burn, and Burning Reason deserve special praise. Nice selection of beer, venue superb, great atmosphere and everyone was out to enjoy themselves, and I believe everyone did enjoy it, without causing any trouble to others.
hopefully will see you in 2006"

From Kickstart magazine
Could this be the new Glastonbury?
Situated in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire within the grounds of the Wood Green Animal Shelter this was an ideal place for some great music and real ale. As the name Rockinbeerfest suggests, this is a three day gathering of live music coupled with a beer festival, which had nearly 50 ales to choose from for those with the liver capacity. The Festival, now in its second year, was held under cover - both the music and the bar, so no weather
problems! Running from Friday to Sunday this was one of the best festivals that we have ever come across. Friday saw 8 bands performing including "Dr Feelgood" and "Eddie and the Hotrods", both having been around on the rock circuit since the 70s, they went down a storm as did the rest of Fridays bands which ranged from the aptly named "Who's Next" to "Burn" who did mostly their own material.
Saturday turned out to be another fabulous day of entertainment, with food available from an onsite restaurant and concession stalls selling English, Indian, Chinese and French food amongst others. At this point we should say that there was a free bus service to and from the festival each day from 10am until 1am the next morning and that the disabled access was very good to
all areas of the site, with disabled toilets available both close to the main site and the camping area. This night saw Hazel O'Connor amongst the artistes on stage along with Hugh Cornwell (ex Stranglers), both of whom
again performed great sets. A number of cover bands helped to make the day and evening another one to remember. Headliners Caravan couldn't attend due
to illness so Hugh Cornwell was shunted up the bill to headline and Deborah Bonham was called in at the last minute as a fill in act. She was loud and bluesy as you may expect from the kid sister of Led Zep's John Bonham.
Sundays final day saw a late start for most (feeling the pace now!. ed) This was possibly the best day but only just, with appearances from John Otway (him of really free fame) not a one but a two hit wonder - the other one
being bunsen burner. He has been performing for over 30 years and he certainly made an impression on the crowd with some rather unusual covers of one or two rock standards; particularly The Animals House Of the Rising Sun.
Also on show that evening were Cream'd playing a very good set of Cream covers (who else!... ed) and Big 10; another covers band but his time pumping out Ska/2tone hits from Madness to The Specials and they certainly
got the crowd bobbing away. Fine evening performances from Mostly Autumn, Ezio and the Oysterband finished off a fantastic weekend of music and beer.
Rockinbeerfest, we will definitely be back.

"You can ask twenty people what they liked about or would like to have in a festival and you'll get twenty different answers. But there's one thing everyone was united on - this year's Rockinbeerfest was superb. It was a cracking weekend and, despite having to pack my tent in the rain, there wasn't one cloud that spoiled it for me.
I really appreciate the huge efforts you all put it to provide everyone with such an enjoyable time."

"Thanks for a really great rocking weekend. Was even better than last year and 2004 was excellent. I did not camp but went home after each day and drove back the following day, so I had to overcome the urge to drive to Godmanchester this morning"
