Dr Robert - Robbie Gladwell...

Robbie is a trained maker and repairer of stringed musical instruments and acts as a consultant to many companies in the music industry Worldwide. He has been the demonstrator for Gibson guitars in the UK and throughout the world for a number of years and regularly does listening tests and demonstrations for Celestion Loudspeakers.

As a well known music journalist, he has a regular column in 'Guitarist' Magazine and is known in the business as 'Dr Robert'. Robbie has his own workshops and has built, repaired and customised guitars for some of World's leading guitarists. His custom guitar workshop is based in Sudbury, Suffolk, U.K.

He has been a professional musician/singer for a number of years and has performed many high profile recording sessions, as well as working and recording with several well known artistes including:

BB King, Suzi Quatro, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Soul legend Percy Sledge, Little Eva, members of the BBC 'Eastenders' cast on solo recordings, Pete York (Spencer Davis Group), Frank Gambale (Chick Korea's electric band) Twink (Pink Fairies) and Ted McKenna (Womack & Womack - Ted was the drummer in Robbie's band for some time) Robbie has also shared Stages with Albert Lee (The Everly Brothers), James Burton (Elvis Presley), Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Tom Jones, to name but a few!

Suzi Quatro's 'Latest And Greatest' CD (which went gold in Scandinavia) featured Robbie exclusively on guitars and backing vocals. He has also worked with the legendary producer Mickie Most on a recent recording project for Suzi. As a band member for almost ten years, he toured the world world with her on virtually a yearly basis

Robbie is listed in the famous 'Who's Who' of rock and pop music.

Robbie's own band features some of the finest musicians in the country, each one well known and highly respected in their own right.

He is currently out with Steve Harley on his ongoing 'Back With The Band' tour, having recently finished two intensive years on the 'Stripped to the bones' acoustic tour with Steve.
